Oh. My. God

How strange that I should blog about Carrie, Sex and the City and how unreal a certain episode was (see previous blog) and then I find the trailer for the new Sex and the City movie. All my feelings of dissapointment towards the producers of SATC just went out the window as soon as I saw this – as soon as I saw the dresses, the hair, the turban, the bow tie . . . okay I’m spoiling it for you.

Due to the Christmas shenanigans, followed by all the New Year palaver, this week has been my first full week of being unemployed.

Apart from the obvious job hunting (which being a bit of a geek I quite enjoy), I’ve been undergoing a Friends Marathon – Friends as in ‘f.r.i.e.n.d.s’ one of my favourite sitcoms. I received the complete boxset (all 10 series!) off Mr Smith for Christmas – perfect timing if you ask me!

It’s been amazing watching the whole series from the beginning (currently on series 4), seeing the highs and lows of the gang again, hearing some of Chandlers one liner’s that I’ve never heard before . . . I even cried last night when I (more…)

The Twilight Saga: New Moon

So last Friday, the 20th of November, 2009, New Moon was released onto the big screen in the UK. I had originally planned to do the whole super-fan thing, and camp out for two days in Leicester Square in order to attend the UK premiere (or at least jump around and scream like a teenager from behind a barrier), similar to when I ‘attended’ the Sex and the City premiere (minus the camping). Unfortunately, there was to be no UK premiere, only a super fan Twilight party, which I couldn’t get tickets for, and was also unable to head down to Battersea Park to jump around and scream like a teenager from behind a barrier.

Upon its release, I also couldn’t go and see the movie on the Friday the 20th or Saturday the 21st due other plans (although I was very tempted to blow them off – friends birthdays aren’t that important right? Or (more…)
