DIY Burlesque Red Dip Dye/Ombre Dress

A DIY blog post was post well overdue, and whilst packing up to move out my flat, I found a packet of  ‘Burlesque Red’ hand dye in my DIY cupboard, it needed using, so it was DIY time once again.

I spent an entire evening dying what I could in order to use it all up. I used to it to tie dye a pair of white shorts, as well as a white vest top, and made some Galaxy leggings using an old pair of hot pink leggings I nearly threw out. But mainly I used the dye to to turn a brand new white dress into a red/purple ombre dress. Although I’ve previously done a Dip Dye/Ombre Clothing post, I wanted to do another especially for this dress because it’s possibly the best DIY item I’ve done. I was so chuffed with the result that I wore the dress to mine and Larzy’s leaving party.… Read on…

DIY STYLE • Slogan T-Shirt

I Love Fangs TshirtAnother easy peasy DIY project to share with you Guys. I created some slogan T-shirts using some iron-on letters I bought off eBay. I even wore one to the Twilight: Breaking Dawn UK premiere. It’s simple and cheap!

Iron on letters ebay

WHAT YOU NEED:

A T-Shirt/Vest Top (I did two T-shirts, both were £1.50 from Primark)

Iron on Letters (I bought two packs of 40 letters, from this eBay seller for just £1.99 each)

An Iron

A Cloth or Tea Towel

SAFETY TIPS

As always when doing any kind of DIY project, safety comes first. So make sure when using an iron, you use it on a high, stable surface such as an ironing board. Make sure the electrical cord is out of reach. Unplug the iron immediately after use and place the iron out of reach of children.

HOW TO:Iron on Letters cut out

When you buy the iron on letters, there should be full instructions on the reverse which you should follow, but here is a quick rundown of how I did it:

1) I cut up all the letters and lay them out to make it easier to spell out my slogan

2) Then I put my T-Shirt on the ironing board and pthe letters on, adhesive side up (so the letters are face down touching the Tee)

Iron on DIY3) Make sure the iron has no water in – steam is definitely not needed -  and set it to cotton.… Read on…

ONE NIGHT IN TWILIGHT // Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part Two // The UK Premiere

Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 Invite

It seems there are some perks to working in TV and last night I received a fabulous one. The perk of all perks. I was lucky enough to attend the UK Premiere for Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part Two. I’ve been to a few a few private screenings before, but never an actual Premiere. And I’m a TwiHard through and through, so you can only imagine how ecstatic I was when I received my official invitation. I was like a Kid on Christmas morning.

The Red Carpet
Arriving in Leicester Square, I was completely overwhelmed by the crowds and the amount of fans that turned up. And my entire five minutes on the red carpet were even more overwhelming, and very surreal. As I walked on I could hear hundreds of fans screaming Kristen’s name, and as I turned to my left there she was, not even a meter away from me.… Read on…

DIY STYLE • The Galaxy Dress

GALAXY TIE DYE

No need to go and spend all your payday cash on a new dress to wear this weekend. I’ve got a new DIY post for you thats is fun, cheap, and this one is definitely worthy of a Saturday night out on the town. It’s the Galaxy Dress! For those of you that follow me on Twitter or Facebook you will know I actually made this a while ago  and have been promising a DIY post on it for a while now (hangs head in shame) but it has taken my lazy-arse a good few weeks to post it up, sorry about that *slaps wrist* it wont happen again.

It’s a really easy process, but due to the rinsing and drying time that this project involves, if you do plan to wear this on a Saturday night, then I would recommend starting  on a a Wednesday or Thursday to make sure its ready in time.… Read on…
