I am constantly biting and chewing my lips! It’s probably my worst habit (along with destroying my finger nails). If I’m concentrating, or nervous, or sometimes even in my sleep, I chew away at my lip leaving the skin in tatters. I also suffer from chapped lips in the cold weather. Not an attractive look, and it makes applying lipstick very difficult, meaning I am forced to be a ‘lip-gloss kinda gal’ – I’m so over lip-gloss, far too sticky for my liking.… Read on...

On Sunday evening I returned to my flat after a girly weekend away to find Larzy lying in my bed in a heap of snotty tissues. Sweating and sniffling – he was “bed bound”. This could only mean one thing … Man Flu. Oh Crap!

I don’t personally believe in Man Flu. I believe in Influenza, commonly known as Flu, of which both genders can contract. We feel tired, our bodies ache, we get all snotty nosed and become utterly unattractive. But thanks to (most of) our awesome immune systems, we can recover from it fairly quickly.… Read on...

But I decided to treat myself to an actual  professional treatment, as I’ve been DIY’ing for the past few years . So off I trotted to a swanky Salon. I told them I wanted the blonde dip dye look. I even took pictures with me. They sat me down, distracted me with tea and magazines and used hairdresser jargon on me, with confusing words like ‘Balliage’ and ‘Toner’ (!?!)  Before I knew it, I was leaving the hairdressers with some pathetic ginger tint. My flatmate’s reaction said it all “Why didn’t you get your hair done?” It cost me over £85 and I didn’t even get a cut – disgraceful.… Read on...
