Whilst I’m not crazy about Valentines day (as last years blog post proved), I still like to acknowledge the day and get involved in the whole shebang – a card, a gift and throw in a romantic dinner. But I dont believe Valentines Day needs to be expensive, last year Larzy cooked me a romantic meal in the flat, and we bought each other tickets to a gig that cost just £10 each. Good food and good music, thats all we needed. So below are three deals I thought may be a little helpful to those who are a little strapped for cash this Valentines.

I recently dyed my hair back brown making a promise to myself to lay off the bleach, BUT, after one too many glimpses of the L’Oreal Ombre ad, I found myself queuing up in Boots to purchase L’Oreal’s Wild Ombre Shade No.1 (for Light Brown to Dark Brown Hair). Also available is Shade No.2 (for Dark Blonde to Medium Brown Hair) and Wild Ombre Shade No.3 (For Blonde to Dark Blonde Hair). Being a DIY blogger, who has been trying DIY Dip-Dying since April, I was keen to find out just how easy L’Oreal have made it for us ladies to do an Ombre over our bathroom sink…
Each Kit Contains:
1 tube of lightening crème
1 applicator bottle of developer crème
1 sachet of lightening powder
1 nutri-ceramide conditioning shampoo
1 easy to use brush
1 user guide & 1 pair of gloves
Safety First: Always do a patch test a day or two before, your local haidressers will be able to do one for you // As always when dying my hair, I wore a towel around my neck and shoulders so not to get bleach on my skin or clothes // Always wear the plastic gloves provided, I never dye without gloves.… Read on…
No need to go and spend all your payday cash on a new dress to wear this weekend. I’ve got a new DIY post for you thats is fun, cheap, and this one is definitely worthy of a Saturday night out on the town. It’s the Galaxy Dress! For those of you that follow me on Twitter or Facebook you will know I actually made this a while ago and have been promising a DIY post on it for a while now (hangs head in shame) but it has taken my lazy-arse a good few weeks to post it up, sorry about that *slaps wrist* it wont happen again.
It’s a really easy process, but due to the rinsing and drying time that this project involves, if you do plan to wear this on a Saturday night, then I would recommend starting on a a Wednesday or Thursday to make sure its ready in time.… Read on…
In the photo above, taken recently at a party back up North ( I look like I’m a right mood, I’m not, it’s just a bad picture!) I wear a Motel Rocks playsuit, that was originally £38, but I bought on sale for just £10! What a bargain! Motel Rocks are available online, but I actually found this gem in one of my favourite stores, Resurrection, in Liverpool. Founded in 1991, Resurrection began as a small vintage clothes shop hidden away in Quiggins, and has grown into a brand new two-storey shop, with regular clients including The Zutons and The Coral, and even the likes of Jared Letto and Samuel L Jackson have been spotted shopping there. It’s not always cheap, but the sales are brilliant.
Delighted with my £10 Motel Rocks playsuit, I teamed it with my £35 Boohoo ‘Leather Look Shoe Boots’.… Read on…
