10% off Missguided.co.uk

missguided.co.uk blogger

Before I left to go backpacking, I purchased quite a few items from Missguided.co.uk including their Galaxy tunic dress which was featured in More magazine (below) it was only 11.99. It’s now one of my favorite dresses, I tend to wear it out here a lot in Thailand, mainly for going out. I also purchased t-shirts and shorts in their sale, and I think my cheapest item was less than fiver. At the moment they have some fantastic holiday pieces in, and if I wasn’t travelling I would definitely be having some delivered to me. I’m always so impressed with Missguided.co.uk  unlike a lot of other online shopping sites, the items aren’t tack and don’t fall apart.

I find Missguided.co.uk really good value for your money, but what’s even better, is you can now get an additional 10% off when you use the code MGVC10 at the online checkout. This is only valid until the 26th May, so get shopping quick!… Read on…

15% off Urban Outfitters PLUS Free Delivery

I really like Urban Outfitters clothes, who doesnt? But they are a tad expensive. I only have a few Urban Outfitters pieces, most of them sale items, because in all honestly its not often I can afford to shop there, so they arent a brand I would normally blog about. But I have some good news for all my fellow budget babes out there; using the discount code HELLOMAY at their online checkout, you can get 15% off plus free delivery. It’s not a huge discount but it may just mean you can splash out on an that Urban Outfitters item you’ve been drooling over. To use the code go to urbanoutfitters.co.uk but hurry the code is only valid until 8th of May

And why your there, why not enter their competition to win tickets to the Great Escape festival in Brighton. I went a few years ago, and it was so much fun!… Read on…

Elemis Softly Softly Daily Moisturiser

Elemis softly Softly

When I left China, I picked up a copy of Company Magazine at the airport (it’s my favourite mag). With it came a free sample of Elemis Softly Softly Daily Moisturiser, part of their Fresh skin range, which worked out great as it turned out I had forgotten to pack my face moisturiser and had been surviving on after-sun.

I’d never really tried any Elemis products until I received their Exfoliating skin wash in my January Glossybox which is also part of their Fresh Skin Range (click here to read the original post). I instantly fell in-love with the exfoliator, and whilst £11.99 for 100ml is quite steep for me, it’s still not exactly breaking the bank, and the 30ml sample I received from GlossyBox lasted weeks and weeks as you don’t need to apply a lot for each wash. So I ended up splashing out on a 100ml bottle and wasn’t disappointed – click here to buy.Read on…

DIY Burlesque Red Dip Dye/Ombre Dress

A DIY blog post was post well overdue, and whilst packing up to move out my flat, I found a packet of  ‘Burlesque Red’ hand dye in my DIY cupboard, it needed using, so it was DIY time once again.

I spent an entire evening dying what I could in order to use it all up. I used to it to tie dye a pair of white shorts, as well as a white vest top, and made some Galaxy leggings using an old pair of hot pink leggings I nearly threw out. But mainly I used the dye to to turn a brand new white dress into a red/purple ombre dress. Although I’ve previously done a Dip Dye/Ombre Clothing post, I wanted to do another especially for this dress because it’s possibly the best DIY item I’ve done. I was so chuffed with the result that I wore the dress to mine and Larzy’s leaving party.… Read on…

eBay Haul

I’m not one for doing ‘Hauls’, in fact this is my first. Mainly because I’m a low-budget blogger whose spent the past eight months saving to go travelling (5 days to go!) so shopping expeditions have unfortunately not been on my penny-saving agenda. BUT, and this is an important But, I wanted to share with you my love for eBay, and the fantastic benefits of using this site as a buyer. And what better way to do that than a little Haul (I say little as it’s only three main items I will be showing you).

I’ve always been a seller on eBay, shifting whatever crap I could for a few bob; it’s a fantastic way to make a bit of quick cash. But its only over the past year I’ve realised just how fantastic eBay is for shopping, particulary for items you can’t find or simply can’t afford. There are two types of sellers on eBay, the one off, second hand sellers, who you can get a great bargain off, or the wholesalers; who are basically sellers with eBay stores, set up to sell branded products at a much lower price than retail.… Read on…

Beauty Bargain – John Frieda Frizz Ease**

John Frieda Beauty Blogger Review

Being a budget babe, when it comes to buying shampoo’s and conditioners I’m really not that fussy. I don’t really think about whats best for my hair, mainly I like to keep it cheap so I pick whatevers on a 2-4-1 offer, or something that smells nice like Herbal Essence. But recently my hair has been dry, dull, lifeless and even more frizzy than usual. No doubt from all the self-inflicted damage. So when the people from John Frieda asked if I wanted to try out some of their Frizz Ease products, I jumped at the chance.

I know this product won’t be suited to all hair-types, so I’ll just give you a little background on my own hair so that you can figure out if this post will be useful or not. Growing up I had quite wavy/curly hair (that I totally did not appreciate at the time, sigh). I used to my make my Mum blow dry it, and then GHD’s came along and I straightned the hell out of it.… Read on…
