Sincere apologies for the behaviour of this blog, or lack thereof. I’ve spent the past seven days shaking, aching, shivering, coughing and snotting. It’s not been very nice. If you follow me on Twitter you’ll know that this has been happening a lot lately, in fact this virus is my sixth since August! This finally triggered alarm bells with my Doctor who is sending me for blood tests next week to find out what exactly keeps making me so ill. Fingers crossed that by Christmas I’ll have some idea of what’s going on.
In the mean time I had to take a week off work. The Doctor insisted I get as much rest as I could so it seemed only right to take a week off from blogging too. Me, myself and I made an agreement that I would halt all current blog posts and projects I was working on, I also decided I wouldn’t respond to any PR emails until my week of rest was over, and all blogger mail was to be left in the post office until I was well enough to collect. In any normal situation I’d be having heart palpitations at the thought of these things happening (no blogging? For a week??) But I was in no state to care. My week of rest was exactly that, a very restful week; I watched lots of Christmas movies whilst eating soup and popping pills. The only blogging I did was the reading of favourite blogs plus a few new ones (try these: theteadrinkingenglishrose.com, handluggageonly.co.uk, awaywiththefairies.com)
Fortunately I am back on the mend! I have returned to work today, and therefore I am back to blogging too. This post was just a little note to apologise for the long silence and to let you know that it will ‘blogging as usual’ from tomorrow. I’m so excited for some of the upcoming posts I’ve got, including a few Christmas posts which I feel like I missed out on last year. So be sure to report back tomorrow for the first.
Lots of Love,
