I ordered some cute little glass milk bottles (from here) for cocktailing and making milkshakes, when it dawned on me that they would be perfect for refreshing Iced latte’s. Inspired by Rosie of thelondoner I decided to make my own coffee cubes as appose to just a cold mily coffee.
All you need is coffee (obvs), milk, an ice cube tray, and to jazz it up preferably a milk bottle or jar, oh and some cute straws.
These cubes are so easy to make, it’s just four simple steps:
[row-start][one-fourth]Make up a mug/jug of hot coffee and pour the coffee into an ice cube tray and put in the freezer[/one-fourth]
[one-fourth]Once frozen, add the ice cubes to a milk bottle or jar and pour in the milk[/one-fourth]
[one-fourth]Put the lid of the jar/bottle on and give a good shake[/one-fourth]
[one-fourth]Finally remove the lid, add a pretty straw, and voila, you got yourself a cool refreshing Iced Latte[/one-fourth][row-end]
The best thing about doing it this way is that you don’t end up with a watery coffee, because when these ice cubes melt they make your coffee stronger. And should you finish your beverage before the cubes have melted, just add more milk and go for a second round.
