Photo Diary No.53

August 4, 2014

Can you believe it’s August already? It feels like yesterday I was jetting back into this chilly country, when in reality it was six months ago. I have to say I’m really enjoying this lovely summer weather; bar a few bleak weeks in March, I’ve been lucky enough to avoid any real winter weather for 17 months. So I’m hoping this glorious sunshine will remain for the rest of the Summer as I know that Winter is going to hit me hard.

The past week was a brilliant one, involving lots of Sushi, shopping, family and friends. On the Monday me and my Bestie headed for some Sushi in Soho where we tried the Octopus Balls dish. Me oh my, they were some tasty balls. Later in the week I had yet more Sushi when me and my Sister (and Baby Harry) went to Westfield’s for an afternoon of retail therapy. Look at him, isn’t he just so cute?? Oh, and earlier that morning, after completing my Teatox (video on it’s way) over some lovely brunch, I had my first proper cup of tea in over three weeks. Heavenly.

Do you like my new sweater? Yes, I know what you’re thinking hey I recognise that top. Probably because it’s been plastered all over Instagram and Twitter; I’m pretty sure every Fashion Blogger across the country has done an OOTD post featuring this snuggly River Island beaut. But still, I decided to treat myself to one as I just love it, plus it’s all soft and warm inside so I can save it for when the breezy autumn nights start to creep up on us next month.

Sunday day I laid out some Astro Turf on our balcony as I’m trying to vamp up our outside area, hoping to do a blog post about it once it’s finished. Sunday night was a really exciting evening, The Beard and I visited two buddies we travelled with. Noi & Talia, both from North London (like, round the corner from us, small world) met us in Koh Tao last May and we ended up travelling as a funny-foursome for four solid weeks. We then continued to travel on and off with them for a further six weeks, meeting up with them in cities across Loas and Vietnam. The last time we saw them was the morning we departed Ho Chi Minh to head to Australia, they came to wave us off from our hotel. We stayed in touch over the year and on Sunday we finally got to meet up. We had drinks, ordered a pizza and did a lot of reminiscing. We spent most of the night laughing over travel stories.

How was your week? Any exciting gossip to share?
