The Fairytale Tag

June 25, 2014

I think I’ve only ever done one tag post before (39 random things about me), it’s not something I’m normally a fan of, but there’s a few I’ve spotted lately that I thought were pretty cool, particularly this Fairytale one. I’d never seen it before until I read it on Emhasrednails, so I thought why not answer Fairytale related questions about myself? Because who doesn’t like talking about themselves if not a blogger! (Although, if it’s not a Disney film, I actually don’t recognise the fairytale – Star Money?? Mary Pitch?)

Snow White – Do you consider yourself beautiful? Not beautiful, no! How can I say I call myself Beautiful when people like Natalie Portman exist? There are things I like about myself and things I dislike, and I guess like most girls I go through life feeling pretty comfortable in my own skin until a fat day comes along and spoils it all. Sigh.

Sleeping Beauty- How many hours of sleep do you get each night? On the weekends I can sleep for England, but during the week I’m quite bad and probably only get about six per night, seven at the most. As a blogger – and an aspiring writer – I work away on the laptop in the evenings and once I’m in the zone I find it hard to tear myself away.

Cinderella – Do you have a curfew? Gone are the days of being out till 2am on a school night. I just can’t do it anymore. If I go out after work for drinks or dinner or a blogger event, I try and be back by 11pm at the latest.

Rapunzel – Do you love being outside? I love it. I never realised how much until I went travelling, but I really do. Even just walking, I love to walk around and get completely lost somewhere.

Red Riding Hood – Do you trust strangers easily? No, but I’m quite a friendly person, and I don’t like to judge a book by its cover, so I will willingly talk to a stranger. I don’t see the point in completely ignoring someone just because you don’t officially know them. BUT I’m not foolish enough to instantly trust them, I’m fully aware of stranger danger.

The Wolf and the Seven Young Kids – Are you easy to fool? No. I used to be really gullible, and always ended up embarrassing myself, so much so that I’m now the opposite.

Beauty and The Beast – What makes someone beautiful in your eyes? A sense of humour. People who make me laugh and who I have a laugh with are normally the ones closest to my heart. A hot body and pretty face is great, but make me laugh and you’ll never get rid of me.

The Little Mermaid – What would you sacrifice for love? If it was someone I really really loved, I’d give up chocolate if they asked. But a person that really loved me would never ever ask. (And I know the Beard would never ask that of me).

The Frog King- What do you find disgusting? Bullying. And Tequila *shudders*

Jack and the Beanstalk- What plants do you have? I’m so incapable of looking after a real plant that my mum bought me a plastic one. He lives on our coffee table, his name is Frank.

Puss in Boots- Do you have any pets? If not, do you want any? I love animals, and would love a pet one day, but I’m not at a point in my life where I could look after a pet as I plan to travel a lot.

Bluebeard- What is your weak point? I have no self control. I can’t just eat one biscuit, I have to eat the pack. I can’t just buy one thing from Primark, I need a whole outfit. If I’m having one glass of wine, why not even it out and have two. Deary me.

Pinocchio- What is your biggest wish? Right now? Hmmmm. They say money can’t buy happiness but it can buy a plane ticket to a dream destination.

Peter Pan- What is your mental age? I don’t feel 28, but mentally I must be; just yesterday I was thinking about how much I have grown up over the last three years. That’s not to say that I still don’t enjoy fart jokes and sing along to Disney songs.

The Star Money- What is your most valuable possession? I genuinely don’t think I have one, but if I had to pick it would probably be my phone! I know, I know, it’s terrible, but I don’t have any valuable jewellery or family airlooms, and my phone actually carries so many important things! I write so much in my phone, I’ve still got random poems and lists from my travels, stories, future blog posts, not to mention my phone holds my photos of my nearest and dearest.

Golden Mary and Pitch Mary- Are you a hard worker or a lazy one? If I like what I’m working towards then I’m a hard worker for sure. There’s got to be a goal in order for me to have drive.

The Princess and the Pea- Are you sensitive? Yes. As much as I try not to be, I think deep down I am and I let silly things get to me. I should just be like ‘Whatevs Peeps’ and that’s the approach I’m now trying to take in life.

The Worn Out Dancing Shoes – Do you like parties? Silly question. I love a good party. Me and my boyfriend are normally the last ones standing.

The Emperor’s New Clothes- Do you care a lot about your clothing? Yes. Don’t get me wrong I love lazing around in scruffs and I don’t make an effort every single day, but I love styling outfits and shopping.

The Brave Little Sailor – Do you consider yourself brave? I’m braver than I used to be, unless there is a Spider in the room, then I’m the biggest wimp ever!

So I thought I would tag a few fellow bloggers (below), and of course anyone else. If this is your style why not get fairytaling in a blog post or video?? I’d love to see your answers.
