My Life

39 Random things about me

I’ve seen various bloggers do this over the years; 25, 40, even 100 facts or things about themselves. It’s not something I would normally do, as it feels a bit ‘Teen Open Diary’ (anyone remember that?) but I actually found myself really enjoying a few. So one night back in Australia when I was struggling to sleep, I decided I would have a go at writing some things. It got quite long. This list has literally been sat in my iPhone notes section for eight weeks now, I completely forgot about, it until I saw it yesterday and I thought why not post it?

1) I don’t wear glasses
2) The best celeb encounter I’ve had has to be meeting Ozzy Osbourne in Manhattan when I was 16
3) I don’t have a favourite colour
4) I once auditioned for Hollyoaks (slightly embarrassing)
5) I have two older Sisters and one younger brother
6) I can Moonwalk
7) If I don’t eat chocolate at least every 24 – 48 hours, my body begins to shut down. I tried to give up last year and I suffered severe headaches, mood swings and a shorter temper than Gretchen Weiner.
8) I quote Mean Girls at least a few times a week
9) I only tried Vietnamese food for the first time last year, yet it is now my second favourite food
10) Italian is the first

11) I don’t bite my nails, I pick them
12) I do bite my lip though, terrible habit
13) I’m one of those annoying people who takes pictures of all my food for Instagram
14) My favourite flavour of crisps is Salt and Vinegar
15) I truly believe that Glastonbury 2011 changed my life. If it wasn’t for Glasto I reckon I would still be sat behind a desk in an office somewhere. I went to that festival as one person and returned as another.
16) Oh yeah, I love festivals, especially camping
17) I hate horror films
18) My favourite book is Twilight and I’m not even ashamed
19) I was a vegetarian from the age of 12 to 14, but the smell if a McDonalds cheeseburger cracked me
20) I love Hats

random
21) When I was 21 I did a 12 month internship at Discovery Channel and it was one of the best years of my life
22) I was once a diner in one of those kitchen wars style programs; I filmed a segment where I spoke to the camera about my meal, but I was so rubbish at it they completely dropped my interview and cut me out the programme. Sigh.
23) I’m allergic to Rum, which sucks
24) I’m really really bad at maths but every now and then I surprise myself
25) I studied in Leeds
26) Im from Liverpool, grew up in Liverpool and will always love Liverpool…
27) … But London is my home away from home
28) Yet I’m writing this blog post in Australia (wrote)
29) I had train track braces when I was a teen, but when they were removed I accidentally broke my temporary retainer and was too scared to go back to my dentist, hence my slightly crooked teeth, bleurgh
30) A cup of tea really does help solve my problems

31) This blog was actually a birthday present off my older Sister, back in 2010, but it wasnt till 2012 that I really started Blogging
32) I love olives and can eat a whole jar in one sitting
33) I still get excited every time I go the movies, I love the smell of the popcorn, and I love watching the new trailers
34) I’m very very competitive (and I hate it)
35) I never iron my clothes
36) I spent my last birthday in Beijing China, which means future birthdays will no doubt suck in comparison
37) I have no particular style, or more like I’m constantly changing it, I like to think of it as ‘Fashion Diversity’ rather than just me changing my mind all the time
38) I’m hungry a lot
39) I can’t cook (despite the below picture where I am trying, I took a cooking class in Vietnam)
