So this is only my second Obsessions post. And I’m a little late in posting it. Oops, sorry about that. But here are the five things I’ve been obsessing over through the month of September …
A pretty boring one I know. But having spent the majority of my summer backpacking Asia, unable to find a decent cuppa, it’s so wonderful to have tea in my life again. Australian tea is okay, but fortunately my housemates stock Yorkshire tea bags, so not only am I drinking copious amounts of tea, but its proper English tea, which is a real home comfort.
Spring has arrived here in Australia, with daily temperatures hitting upto 35 degrees (yes, that’s normal spring weather apparently). So I’m slowly rebuilding my Asia tan. Which means its time to whack on the bronzer again. My favourite bronzer, which I packed with me, is the 17 Instant Glow Shimmer Brick. I recently did a Beauty Bargain post on it, read about here.
I LOVE Paramore. They are my favourite band (along with M83). My boyfriend got me tickets to go see them in January, arrgghh, excited doesn’t cover it. I saw them a few years ago when they played Leeds Festival and it was one if the best festival gigs I have ever experienced, so I really can’t wait to see them on Aussie turf. Anywho, I’ve had a bit of a girl crush on Hayley Williams, have done for a while. I love everything about her, her humour, her style, but more importantly that voice! I’ve been listening to their brand new album on repeat, I love it. My favourite tracks at the moment are ‘Moving on’, ‘Part II’ and ‘Day Dreaming.’ Oh Hayley I love you!
I’m slowly starting to adjust to the Aussie ways. Okay, so not the giant bugs, but more the incredible wildlife. A trip to Australia Zoo lead to me and my boyfriend meeting all kinds of Australian creatures such as Kangaroos and Koalas. It was amazing. But nothing could have prepared us for the excitement of going for a quick drive in the car and seeing a wild family of Roo’s. All just jumping about. It was a pretty cool moment …. (no word of a lie, a big white eagle thing just flew over me as i finished typing this. Crazy!)
So everyone seems to have mixed reviews on this one, but personally I love it. It’s modern, yet old school, if that even makes sense. I know people have complained about it, but I love the new passcode screen, as well as the new camera roll, and I especially love the screen grabs that appear when closing down apps (sigh. It’s the little things in life, eh?)
