For some reason, when it comes to having to do any sort of detailed work with my hands, such as applying liquid eyeliner, or any sort of intricate eye make-up for that matter, my hands decide to go all ‘shakey jake’ on me and not work properly. So when it comes to giving my nails a new gloss, it’s normal for me to end up with more varnish on my fingers than my nails. No matter how many times I try to give myself a neat and tidy manicure, it turns out pretty rubbish. So, if like me you are unable to complete the task of painting your nails neatly, here is a little tip for you:
Paint them as you normally would, even if that means getting messy fingers and cuticles. Once the paint is dry, use a cotton swab and some nail polish remover to carefully swab any unnecessary paint around the edge of your nails and cuticles. You only need a tiny bit of remover, too much may accidentally take off your freshly painted coats. About half an hour after this – once you know your nails are completely bone dry – wash your hands in soapy water to get any excess nail varnish off. Voila! Tidy nails.
